July Mid Year – Prayer & Fasting

Psalm 138:2

2  I bow down toward your holy temple

and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness,

for you have exalted above all things

your name and your word.

JULY! Start of a new month. Your mercies are new every morning and Your grace is unending. You are faithful always. We are on a

3 days – Mid Year  – Prayer and fasting starting today and will end on Thursday. I am sure we have our own prayer requests and personal prayers that we want or desire to have as we pray and fast. It’s a good thing that you believe and trust God for all of those things but it’s a good reminder also for ourselves to always check our hearts. Are we bowing down and raising our voices to worship Him purely or are we just bowing down before Him because we want something from God? Once again, check your hearts and motives when you pray. Ask yourself this, are you asking God to fill You with His presence or are you asking Him to fill all your list of prayer requests and personal desires to fill a BIG CHECK beside that prayer requests? I am not saying that it’s not okay to ask to God for your prayer requests and desires or concerns … of course, God loves that we ask according to His will.  It’s a perfect time to pray, think and ponder on how GOD has been so faithful to you all these years! Choose to be thankful always even if you may have or may not have your prayer requests fulfilled after this 3 days prayer and fasting. We should always remind ourselves that we are more than complete because He has won the battle for us .. and it is DONE.

Just like what the Bible says:

Ask, Seek, Knock

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. –

Matthew 7:7-8

My ultimate prayer request for this season is for the wedding and more importantly our married life! I’ve been engaged since May 17 2014 and the journey of preparation is exciting, joyful, stretching of faith in a different level and a lot of grace, hard work and of course prayers. It has been an awesome preparation and guess what, we still  have a lot of things to do to prepare! Hahaha! Sometimes, it is so tiring to think about the simplest details about the wedding to the biggest details but by God’s grace all are going well. I have my own personal desire on how my wedding day will look like or what’s my wedding gown style is … I have all of those list hahaha .. but at the end of the day, I am always asking God for His wisdom to be upon me and us ( my fiance)  because in the first place, it is because of Him why we have this love story.

I do pray that during this whole 3 days prayer and fasting, you’ll have your own encounter with Him and may He refresh you and remind you that whatever you are going through, He will FIGHT the BATTLE FOR YOU AND YES, IT IS FINISH!:)
