In 24 Hours… Make Your Life Count

24

Hello my dear readers! How are you all? I’ve missed pressing on this 🙂  It’s been awhile since I posted on my site. I feel like I just have a lot of memories the past months. Finally, I am here again, hopefully I can bring a little light to this world through this.

As we enter the September month and yes, it’s the start of the long Christmas celebration here in the Philippines… have you ever wonder, what have you been up to for the past months and in the coming months? … May I ask you this, how do you spend each 24 hours that God has given you each day?  I guess all of us are so busy with a lot of stuffs, — juggling your time between family, friends, too much preoccupied with our personal desires/ dreams and even work — these things usually get so much of our time in this earth. And some people also, sad to say, spend their time just feeding themselves with too much anger, hate, unforgiveness and just the very same old story of not really moving on because they cannot accept the fact that they have grown in all aspects and literally they’ve grew old 🙂 The times when we are too old to remember the things that makes  us laugh even in the simplest reason,  or really be grateful everyday because God has given you another chance to wake up today 🙂 So my question is… how do you spend your 24 hours and make it count huh? 🙂  I pray that each day, each of us will remember that, life is not a bed of roses always, but it is always our choice to make each day a very good day even if we are in the middle of chaos or stress. I know that it is easier said than done, but I pray that as you read this, you will be reminded that, 24 hours seems like too short for many but there’s another side of the coin, that — that 24 hours is the most precious time that they have prayed for or desire for.

” You do not even know what will happen tomorrow! What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. James 4:14

Make your life count because we only have one life to live 🙂

Until my next 🙂 God bless you everyone!

Love lots

Our Hongkong Adventure 2016

Hola everyone! The month of June is officially ending tomorrow and yes, we’re almost done for the first half of the year 2016! How cool and fast is that? 🙂 Praise the Lord for the first half of the year!

There’s has been so much going on in the Philippines and in fact, tomorrow, is the inauguration of the incoming President  Rodrigo Duterte ( is it going to be declared a public holiday or not tomorrow? let’s just wait and see for the official declaration within the day 🙂 )

And speaking of holiday, we just got back from a long vacation from Hongkong! We’re just really excited when we are there and we tried our best to collect and collect a lot of good memories together as husband and wife. It is one of our first goals to go out of the country as husband and wife, for us to experience traveling together in abroad for leisure/ vacation purposes/ relaxation purposes. And we definitely had a great time!  Just like what the Bible says: ” So I recommend having fun, because there is nothing better for people in this world than to eat, drink, and enjoy life. That way they will experience some happiness along with all the hard work God gives them under the sun.Ecclesiastes 8:15 “ … Indeed, we did it!  🙂

Location: At Sky100 🙂 The tallest building in Hongkong and the 7th highest building worldwide! 🙂 Truly, I feel the love on top 🙂 #melvinlourdytravels2016 #love #wheininhongkong #sky100 #wifehood #marriagegoals #relationshipgoals 🙂

I can’t count how many malls or how many tourist spots we had a chance to visit but to list a few,  these are as follows. I also indicated there some description of the places we visited so if you are planning to visit Hongkong, this places you can also check out! 🙂

  1. Hongkong Disneyland- Enter a magical kingdom inspired by fairy-tale dreams and explore 7 lands—Adventureland, Grizzly Gulch, Mystic Point, Toy Story Land, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Main Street, U.S.A.—filled with beauty, excitement and Disney Characters.
  2. Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car – one of Hong Kong’s premier attractions and, while not cheap, if you’re in town for a few days it really shouldn’t be missed. The big pull of the Ngong Ping Cable Car is the breathtaking views over the thick green peaks of Lantau and the shining South China Sea. At the top of the cable car ride awaits the amazing 110ft Tian Tan Giant Buddha, one of the biggest in the world.
  3. Sky100 – On the 100th floor of Hong Kong’s tallest building – the International Commerce Centre (ICC) – you’ll find sky100. This is the highest indoor observation deck in Hong Kong and offers visitors a stunning 360 degree bird’s-eye view of world-famous Victoria Harbour.
  4. Nathan Road – Probably Hong Kong’s most photographed street, Nathan Road is the showcase for the city’s iconic, neon advertising signs. Crammed in at every angle and hanging off every building, the signs are a testament to Nathan Road’s role as the commercial heart of Tsim Sha Tsui.
  5.  Victoria Harbour – is a natural landform harbour situated between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon in Hong Kong. The harbour’s deep, sheltered waters and strategic location on the South China Sea were instrumental in Hong Kong’s establishment as a British colony and its subsequent development as a trading centre.
  6. Harbour City –  a large shopping mall in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. It is part of a series of office blocks and hotels. It comprises several parts: Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel, Ocean Terminal, Ocean Centre (with 1980s retro decor), the Gateway and the Pacific Club Kowloon. The complex is located along the west side of Canton Road, stretching from the Star Ferry Pier in the south to China Hong Kong City in the north.
  7. Star Ferry  – a passenger ferry service operator and tourist attraction in Hong Kong.[1] Its principal routes carry passengers across Victoria Harbour, between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon
  8. Citygate Outlet – Hong Kong’s first—and only—outlet mall. Outlets in the mall currently offer year-round discounts of 30-70% on all merchandise. It is in Tung Chung, above Tung Chung MTR Station, which is the terminus of the Tung Chung Line.
  9. ISquare – The 31-storey complex offers 56,000 square meters of space, with renowned brands of Watches & Jewelry, Fashion & Accessories, Beauty & Health, Lifestyle & Entertainment, and Supermarket & Department Store located at the shopping podium
  10. Mongkok Ladies Market – The street probably started out as a street where the local women went shopping for bargain clothing, small household items, and stuff that typically women would shop for.
  11. Cheung Chau Island- southwest of Hong Kong Island. It is nicknamed the ‘dumbbell island (啞鈴島)’ due to its shape.
  12. Tung Wan Beach – when you visit here, you will feel that you are in Hawaii because it has this Hawaii beach vibes 🙂

And there, this is just a few of the places that we visited 🙂 What did we learn or get from this trip? We’ll it’s the memries that we can treasure and share to our children up to the future.  The world is too big to stay in one place and there is so much more to see and experience. We are just so thankful to God for this well time of enjoyment and relaxation.

So there, until my next blog fellas, I do hope that you are all encourage to go out there… make some good memories… and do not spend your time dealing with some negative thoughts  and just be thankful because God is always giving you a chance to go and have your very own adventure 🙂

God bless everyone! Love God above all 🙂

Love, Mrs Piza 🙂

Celebrating Our First Year Anniversary!

Hello! What’s up ? How’s your summer vacation and or trip so far? I hope you are all having a great time spending it with your loved ones. Our national election was over and while we are still waiting for the final result for the VP race, let me help you cool down as you read my blog today, it has nothing to do with politics, don’t worry 🙂 I just want to share that we reached our first year  anniversary last May 15, 2016! Yehey! 🙂  How time really flies so fast , and we’re just continually growing and learning from each other’s imperfections and still seeing the beauty of our imperfections and still choosing to commit this marriage to God.

Celebrating our 1st year Anniversary with the sea, sand, sun in an island 🙂

The LORD has done great things for us; We are glad. – Psalm 126:3

This year has been fuller than I ever imagined. God gave us a ridiculous amount of blessings, and a completely unanticipated number of adventures together. Marriage is so, so much easier–and just more plain magical than I expected. Basically it’s a lot of laughing and tickling and smooshy-face-hugs, with some crying and hugging it out. I can’t count the number of times I’ve looked at his beautiful all-mine face and just been floored by the fact that I have this–all this. There’s nothing quite like a person that’s half of you–that’s home to you. Holding each other and laughing uncontrollably together is maybe the best thing Jesus has ever given me. This first year has been an unimaginable blessing.
But at the same time, it’s been probably the most full of seeing the hurt and brokenness in the world.

Horrible news stories and gut-wrenching phone calls and tragedies in lives around us that seem impossible to know how to process. It makes me cling even tighter to this amazing best-friend-for-life–he reminds me of truth and God’s goodness when I can’t see it. I could never have imagined the amount of happiness I’d have right now–but I also could never have imagined the amount of serious-for-real life lessons – in the world around me.

We had a long way to go and we have a lifetime to embrace the wonderful life of being married! It is not an instant “happily- ever after” love story that we are after… we choose to live out and be thankful for what each day can offer to us, as husband and wife. Not to play the blame game but rather, pray together all the more when conflicts arise, talk gently, and choose to find solutions to whenever we have misunderstandings. Being married is choosing the road to take together, and making each other a priority next to God. Marriage is a gift from God that needs to be protected, fervently prayed for, be thankful for because being married is a beautiful blessing and not a burden. We chose to speak life and not curse each other because we know that both of us, has a specific calling to do for us to let this marriage grow and be strong as the years go by.

I am a continuous wife in progress and same goes with my husband Melvin, who is still a husband work in progress – we know that for a fact that we can’t do anything for our marriage without God at the center and guidance of it all. I am just so thankful that my husband has been a reminder of that, because his patient and persistent and gentle love doesn’t waver. It’s all in the power of God’s grace and always have a forgiving heart every waking day that is ready to love again and again.

This year has been incredible, once-in-a-lifetime–a first-year-of-marriage to hold tight to when things are harder and more complicated. “Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity”.   Colossians 3:14.  This verse, always helps us to see each other as a gift from God, even if sometimes, we have misunderstandings or conflicts.

Praise God for this one year! Looking forward for a lifetime of anniversaries with you my love, my love! I just love you even more today than the day we start this journey to forever with our “ I Do’ ‘s.

Thank you Lord, All glory to You! 🙂

Until my next blog fellas!

Take Charge! #Discpleship2016 #Charge :)

Hello my dear readers 🙂 Last Saturday, all roads lead to SM Mall of Asia for a  Leadership Convergence that has the goal to empower and encourage all the leaders and the up coming leaders to continue to ‘Honor God. Make Disciples.’

kit

This we’re our ID’s and the 21 days Devotional that was given away for us during the conference 🙂 So have you started to flip your own devotional? Be excited and focus your eyes on Jesus more:)

During the whole conference, a lot of things are running inside my head, I was anticipating to see a lot of friends around and indeed, we saw a a lot. It is really good to be in one place, with the people that has the same heartbeat, and that’s to be humble to hear from God and feel His presence and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8

And when I heard this verse, one thing that was impressed to me was,  it’s missions. All about His missions. As all the pastors are starting to give their encouragement, prayer, and their points to remember for us, I started to ask myself this… do I spend a quality  time knowing His mission for my life? We’ll, in this fast changing world, with all our busy schedules,  it is good to know that we have something like this to help us recharge and re-align ourselves to the Father and be really filled with the Holy Spirit.

A reminder that God gave me through this leadership convergence is this, ‘ we should not be mystical, and let’s be missional 🙂  Ring a bell?  I repeat, we should not be mystical, let’s be missional.

How can you say that you’re being too mystical? For example, you are becoming too mystical when you always say to your friends or the people around you this .. ” I have this prayer request … blah blah blah .. and I know God will grant this request ..by FAITH 🙂 ” And that’s the catch, by faith! 🙂 But when does this phrase becomes a trap and being too mystical?  It is when you just say it through words and that’s it. period.  You see, when you say …” … BY  FAITH!” … God hears it so  what will you do after you declare that?  Of course, do something about it 🙂 Don’t be so mystical that God will give you this and that without you stretching your bones and all your God given gifts and talents.

Yes, God can and God will perform miracles in our life that can come in different shapes and sizes and in different seasons, but still, God wants to see you work your way with His guidance and leadership of course. Stop being so lazy because it will not bring you from point A to point B when you just stare there and or rely to people around you. God also wants to see His children how can they achieve their God-given desires into reality. You need to start up. And just like what Ptr. Ferdie said.. “Take Charge!” Believe that right now, wherever God puts you, it’s your unique mission to make His name known. Take Charge and yes “Take Heart” also because He has already overcome this world. You do not have something to fear.

Once again, we, as followers of Jesus, we need to always check our hearts, motives and intentions in everything that we do, say or act, be sure to always ask yourself this… does this honor God?  For whatever the answer of that, the fruit of the Holy spirit will enable you to do everything all by God’s grace.

These are some of the photos during the Conference  🙂

So my dear readers, I encourage you to move in a natural way, not in a very mystical way because God is a missional God, not a magician or a genie in a bottle 🙂

Until next time, continue to follow Jesus ❤

Love, Mrs. Piza 🙂

Loving God & Life More At 31 :)

So how does it feel to be at the age of 31? That’s the first question that pops in my mind when I know and feels that this year will be a sign of my last day in the calendar Lol 🙂

Yes, I am 31 years old and I am proud of it 🙂 Why because it’s only once in a lifetime that you’ll get to embrace this age. Nothing to be ashamed or nothing to deny when someone ask me what is my age is. I thank God for this new year that He has given me. Another year to dream big, aim higher, new lands to conquer, a lot of fresh and new faces to see, prayers to utter to God, and a lot of faith to get by through this fast changing world.

How did I celebrate my birthday? A lot of surprises happened that day! I never thought that it will be like that. Thank you LORD for showing me how much you love me from the beginning of my 31 years of existence.

1 birthday

Surprised by my best friends, Uchie & her husband AJ, and Glo 🙂 Thanks my love for doing this! They are my gems! 🙂

birthday 4

And here we are! The 3 best friends! I’ve known this two since I was 13 😀 And now I am 31 I thank God for them because in all seasons, we chose to love, cherish, accept and really laugh out loud for whatever changes that we encounter in this lifetime! Cheers to more years! 🙂

I just want to encourage everyone that God is there in all the seasons of your life. If you feel that He has left you, or maybe He does not hear your prayer requests, again and again, choose to love Him more.

In my 31 years of existence… these are the life lessons or take home that I always live out:

  1. Being Thankful – -1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”                                                                             I’ve learned and re learn the art of being thankful and grateful in every season. There are times that it’s hard for me to grasp what is happening or why is it not happening in my life now but again and again, God, in His sovereign power, always remind me to be always grateful and thankful for everything in anything because I am blessed. The fact that I am still breathing,  and I have a food to eat, it’s more than enough to be grateful in each passing day. Sometimes, these vital things we take for granted because we are too consumed to get this and get that, or I want this or that… 🙂  Hey, are you healthy?  if so… be thankful! It’s priceless to have a healthy body my dear readers 🙂

2. Conflicts and Resolutions – Proverbs 12:18 “There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, But the tongue of the wise brings healing”.

In this life. Nothing is perfect. I too, have a lot of shortcomings, and I am far from being perfect. I know that for a fact. And in this life, I’ve encounter too many conflicts that sometimes bothers me or sometimes, I just choose to just shrug it off because it is out of my control already. I am surrendering those kind of moments to God. I let go and let God give me peace. Conflicts is just there. And when it is there and it started to give you worries, it’s time for you to take a break… inhale and exhale and see the bigger picture of the situation. It is not about you, or me but when conflicts arise, again and again, I go back to how God loves me and accepts me as His daughter. I’ve learned that in this life, people will really come and go, you will have conflicts but in the end, find in the deepest core of your heart the word ” LOVE” , “TRUST” and “FORGIVENESS” It is the Lord Jesus Christ who is the perfect example of the one who give it to us FREELY without expecting anything in return. In this life, always be on the look out and proactively share these 3 words and actively live it out. With this, your life can be much more lighter and more joyful!

3. A Joyful Heart is Always Good – “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength. -Proverbs 17:22

Let’s all face it, as we all grow old… we sometimes forget to laugh and be joyful even the simplest to the most complex things that this life can offer. Hey, hey, hey, may I just remind you that being so serious in this life can sometimes give you head ache? Hahaha! So why not, smile and or even laugh 🙂 Life is too short to spend it with a frowning face is in it? God has created and given you this life for you to explore and enjoy!  So do not forget to smile or laugh please 🙂 Now your asking me, what if I have a lot of bills to pay, I don’t have a job, I still do not have my answered prayer’ or I still don’t have a suitor, or boy friend or girlfriend or even a spouse? or even a baby?   We’ll all these things shall be added unto you if you completely trust God, young men and young women 🙂  And may I remind you that you live this life not to look forward to what you can get from God or from the people around but what you can give back to God and to the people around you.

In this life, it is not all about what  you can get, or what benefits you the most…. it is more than that. Life is about giving back all the glory and honor to God 🙂 Life is all about giving and sharing your talents, skills, resources, time, effort and of course love in anything, in everything or to everyone that has touched your life. With that, you can truly say, you have lived a joyful and yet meaningful life. Do not let stress control you but instead, stress your stress’ LOL and let go and let God 🙂

Life is too short! Enjoy your season, embrace your trials, learn from your mistakes, get up and dream and make it a reality because God has only the best plans for you! Stay focus as you grow old.

And as for me, I am 31 years old…. thank you Lord! Indeed, you are faithful! Cheers to another years of growing, going, and glowing gracefully with and for the Lord! 🙂

Ciao! Until next time my dear readers! 🙂 May the good Lord protect, guard and bless you all abundantly way beyond your imagination! 🙂

birthday 3

Love, Mrs. Piza 🙂

2016 Moments To Look Forward To

2016 Moments To Look Forward To

Good morning everyone! Ayay! So sorry I was not able to blog last month but hey I am again here, ready to share my thoughts, experiences, encouragement and a lot more!

2016 is here and before I forgot, I want to greet you all a happy new year! it’s better late than never 😀 And I also want to greet you all an advance Happy Chinese New year for all our Chinese friends or Filipino-Chinese out there! Let’s all spread the joy and cheer that every new year brings!

“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”  Psalm 90:12

I just want to encourage you all with this verse as we all start our year, that we may all see each day, as a gift and a chance to embrace God’s goodness. We may be so busy of so many things, a lot of responsibilities to fulfill, a lot of meetings to pull off and or you have a gigantic mountain in front of you… asking you to climb that mountain or not — these things are blessings. Blessings because God has given all of us the power to overcome all of those with His leading and direction ahead of us. Do not make this year a year of it’s all about me” or it’s because of my talents, skills, my work ethics, etc… — always go back to the Cross — He is the one who has given You all of these things.

Say this to yourself…. that 2016 will not be my year.. but this year will be a God’s year! I pray that as we all have this fresh hope, joy and faith this year… we will never forget to acknowledge and be grateful to God in what season we will be in this year of 2016!

2016 will be a year of moments for you to savor each learning, victories, pains, struggles, strength, grace, forgiveness, humble heart,  a heart to be corrected, challenges, joy, faith, prayer, breakthroughs, and of course LOVE LOVE LOVE! Life is such an awesome ride to take if you will just let it’s twists and turns be as it is and allow yourself to take the challenge and DARE TO LIVE because God’s plans is awesome and exciting with all this surprises that awaits you this 2016!

Until next time! seize this day and start to be a blessing to someone! God bless you all  🙂

Love, Mrs. Piza 🙂

“An Open Letter for Popoy & Basha”

poybash

A Second Chance

Hello everyone! I hope all is doing great upon reading this update of my blog. I guess most of you have watched this movie and you had your own tissue on your hands while watching this. The classic tandem of John Lloyd Cruz & Bea Alonzo who plays Popoy & Basha in this movie. I watched this movie together with my husband Melvin, last week and after watching this, here are some of the lessons, or the things that we observed in that movie

“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:12

There  we’re quite heart breaking and yes it’s where the #HugotLines originated, but as we closely watched and observed things, my husband told me one time, ” Ang bigat naman nyan” .. and that’s so true, there’s so much heaviness and we’re just reminded that in marriage, you can choose to fight and be angry towards each other or you can either choose to talk things out in a very calm and gentle way. “Be completely humble and gentle; Be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:2-3

  1. If I we’re given a chance to talk to them both, I will tell them that, in marriage you can either be a building block or a stumbling block for your spouse. Choose to fight for love because you choose to love your spouse just the way how Christ love you.
  2. Trust & Open Communication – It’s two of the most vital parts in marriage that we need not to neglect on. As you can see in the movie, Popoy & Basha we’re so in love and they we’re so pre-occupied with their goal of having their own dream house right? It’s okay to have a dream house or a dream car or etc. but it should not be the one who will dictate the joy of your marriage. Getting what you dream of is really an exciting part of marriage but we must always remember that having your spouse is more than a dream come true and yes building your dreams together is awesome and it’s your goal as husband and wife to never let go of each other and your faith in God that no matter what happens, you are still thankful and joyful if you have or not have that dream.
  3. Hope and Joy – We just observed that in that movie, even if it’s kinda heavy, you can see hope in the eyes of Popoy & Basha and still there’s this pure joy that they have even if they went through a lot of trials — they have a hope for a good, pleasing and perfect plans for their marriage. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares The Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
And that’s true for marriage, it’s not a walk in the park or a bed of roses 24/7 but marriage is a beautiful season that you will grow, learn new things, realize how immature you are, or see how imperfect you are. You have to choose to stick together because you believe and you know that the person you marry, is more than a knight in shining armor, or your beautiful princess, but that person you marry is the person you choose to love, serve, forgive, accept, hold hands to, dream big dreams and yes grow old together with in this whole lifetime.  And that is love, more than the butterflies in the stomach, it’s the courage to love.

Marriage is a beautiful gift from God. It’s not base on Popoy or Basha movie, just like what they say ” Your love story is what you make it… your love story is unique from any other”  So trust God in your own love story, be brave enough to love, love, love!

“A Second Chance” Movie is really a mature and yet a showcase of the acting talent of the two leading actor and actress here in the Philippines. Truly a movie that can challenge each one of you to be brave enough to love and have a stronger faith not into your dreams but to God who owns all our dreams 🙂

Be excited and encouraged the the writer of your love story is God Himself. Trust Him all the more.

Until next time 🙂

Mrs. Piza 🙂
