A Start of Something New!

Hi there! I hope everyone is doing great. My husband, Melvin & I moved to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This is a new chapter in our marriage and life. ❤

internet city

An afternoon in Dubai, Internet City

Every bold transitions in life brings about newness and well… excitement at the same time. But sometimes, fear knocks in and tries to kill the joy in every change. I guess, all of us, have felt that kind of feeling,  right?  whether it’s in a change in career, status in life, status of your bank accounts, or yes, maybe you’re like us, you’re living in a different country.

Just like what the Bible says in every change of season in your life, learn to hear this and take hold of this “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. ” Isaiah 43:18-19

When you come, face to face, with this changes, it is best to first breath in and breath out and be thankful for the process that you’ve gone through, and then embrace the big change. It maybe hard at first because you are not living the way you used to live, a lot of adjustments — when you ask us, it is never easy. We have had a lot of choices or options, that can make our life a bit easier but still, we chose to take on the road, that we have not yet walk onto. It gave us a surreal feeling when we arrived here. Very priceless, a God-moment, we already knew a new chapter of our lives is about to unfold. Scary it may seem, but as the verse above says, God will do a new thing whether you are in the wilderness, in the river or in the desert. To walk on waters or in our case, to walk in the desert, is really taking so much sweat, it is exhausting or it might cause us a heat stroke..lol.. 🙂  but not everyone get the chance to walk the same road that each of us is taking right now. It takes FAITH to walk your own road. 🙂

Until next time fellas! thanks for reading my blog site. May the good Lord protect and bless you all always ❤

Take Charge! #Discpleship2016 #Charge :)

Hello my dear readers 🙂 Last Saturday, all roads lead to SM Mall of Asia for a  Leadership Convergence that has the goal to empower and encourage all the leaders and the up coming leaders to continue to ‘Honor God. Make Disciples.’

This we’re our ID’s and the 21 days Devotional that was given away for us during the conference 🙂 So have you started to flip your own devotional? Be excited and focus your eyes on Jesus more:)

During the whole conference, a lot of things are running inside my head, I was anticipating to see a lot of friends around and indeed, we saw a a lot. It is really good to be in one place, with the people that has the same heartbeat, and that’s to be humble to hear from God and feel His presence and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8

And when I heard this verse, one thing that was impressed to me was,  it’s missions. All about His missions. As all the pastors are starting to give their encouragement, prayer, and their points to remember for us, I started to ask myself this… do I spend a quality  time knowing His mission for my life? We’ll, in this fast changing world, with all our busy schedules,  it is good to know that we have something like this to help us recharge and re-align ourselves to the Father and be really filled with the Holy Spirit.

A reminder that God gave me through this leadership convergence is this, ‘ we should not be mystical, and let’s be missional 🙂  Ring a bell?  I repeat, we should not be mystical, let’s be missional.

How can you say that you’re being too mystical? For example, you are becoming too mystical when you always say to your friends or the people around you this .. ” I have this prayer request … blah blah blah .. and I know God will grant this request ..by FAITH 🙂 ” And that’s the catch, by faith! 🙂 But when does this phrase becomes a trap and being too mystical?  It is when you just say it through words and that’s it. period.  You see, when you say …” … BY  FAITH!” … God hears it so  what will you do after you declare that?  Of course, do something about it 🙂 Don’t be so mystical that God will give you this and that without you stretching your bones and all your God given gifts and talents.

Yes, God can and God will perform miracles in our life that can come in different shapes and sizes and in different seasons, but still, God wants to see you work your way with His guidance and leadership of course. Stop being so lazy because it will not bring you from point A to point B when you just stare there and or rely to people around you. God also wants to see His children how can they achieve their God-given desires into reality. You need to start up. And just like what Ptr. Ferdie said.. “Take Charge!” Believe that right now, wherever God puts you, it’s your unique mission to make His name known. Take Charge and yes “Take Heart” also because He has already overcome this world. You do not have something to fear.

Once again, we, as followers of Jesus, we need to always check our hearts, motives and intentions in everything that we do, say or act, be sure to always ask yourself this… does this honor God?  For whatever the answer of that, the fruit of the Holy spirit will enable you to do everything all by God’s grace.

These are some of the photos during the Conference  🙂

So my dear readers, I encourage you to move in a natural way, not in a very mystical way because God is a missional God, not a magician or a genie in a bottle 🙂

Until next time, continue to follow Jesus ❤

Love, Mrs. Piza 🙂

Take Home From Couples Getaway! :)

Take Home From Couples Getaway! :)

with my Love <3

with my Love ❤ #CG2015

Hola!!! everyone! How’s everyone doing? 🙂 I hope you are all doing great as you read my blog update. Hmmm… Christmas is just around the corner … 71 days before Christmas to be exact.. how time flies! Haha 🙂 But before the Christmas season, I just want to share what happened on our first Couples Getaway last September! 🙂

It’s Last September 25 & 26 2015, my husband Melvin & I, attended our first Couples Getaway in Nuvali Laguna! 🙂 We we’re both excited to learn new things from different couples, be refresh by God’s word & hear nuggets of wisdom from our main speakers Ptr. Juray Mora & his wife Ms. Deah. 🙂

Actually, it’s really hard to pick what’s the main take home from the 3 part talk of the awesome couple. But here are my top topic picks that I want to share with you all that really reminded me to always trust God, rebuke me when my intentions and motives are not right and not pleasing to God — it’s not what I want, it’s what God wants that truly matters — It’s not about what you and I can get from God but it’s really knowing who GOD is in a very intimate and purposely way. KNOW GOD because you desire Him period. ( No more other personal hidden agendas because you want this and that .. JUST PURELY BE INTIMATE WITH GOD! 🙂 ) And yes, please let that sink in your system first …

1 …

Inhale .. exhale 🙂

So here it is,

Genesis 2:19-2 (NLT)
19 So the Lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man[a] to see what he would call them, and the man chose a name for each one. 20 He gave names to all the livestock, all the birds of the sky, and all the wild animals. But still there was no helper just right for him.
21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the Lord God took out one of the man’s ribs[b] and closed up the opening. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man.
23 “At last!” the man exclaimed.
“This one is bone from my bone,
and flesh from my flesh!
She will be called ‘woman,’
because she was taken from ‘man.’”
24 This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one

“Only God can complete you through your spouse.” – Ptr. Juray Mora – And yes, truly God is the mastermind of marriage. So whatever differences you and your spouse have, it’s good to be reminded that marriage is a blessing not a burden. My husband & I have differences of course! We are two unique individuals that are united and bonded through Christ love that’s why we are able to get though this life, joyfully, stronger and grateful each day because God is the ultimate reason for our marriage. So if you ask me, is marriage exciting? my answer will be YES! 🙂 It is your up close look to God’s love for you in your life in a different level!

“Marriage is wonderful but sometimes it’s a painful process.” – Ptr. Juray Mora – Marriage is really not a walk in the park .. 24/7 .. ** Ooops sorry to pop the bubble there all you singles out there! 🙂 it’s not always butterflies in the stomach or the kilig” that only matters .. it’s also the hardships that counts 🙂 Why? because in reality, God will put you in a situation that will test you or teach you a lesson … ever wonder why God does not make sense sometimes if we try to figure it out? But know that, even if we look at things in a very momentary way of thinking, God  always has, a better plans for us. Even when God does not make sense .. choose to TRUST HIM.. HE KNOWS WHAT’S HE IS DOING fellas 🙂 Painful moments in a married life is a reminder of God’s sovereignty in spite and despite of. Will you choose to delight in Him no matter what the cause? I am reminded of an instant noodles … because marriage is not an instant noodles or a fast food chain that you can get or be excellent or professional in an instant .. MARRIAGE is a PROCESS of GROWING and KNOWING GOD MORE each day through your spouse and through all the things or seasons that God will let you experience.

“Our provision is not dependent on who you are but it depends on who your God is. You do not need to broadcast all your needs, go to God” – Ptr. Juray Mora – And this is a very good reminder to everyone. It’s given that we all have needs right and also wants? But where do we go if we have our set of list of all these? Do we go directly to God or do we excitedly want to update our facebook status of our whereabouts and needs? Social media is a good thing but sometimes, it is use in a wrong motive and intentions. As what Ptr. Juray said, go directly to God when you want or need something, you do not need to broadcast it to the whole FB world 🙂 .. it’s all about what God can do and not what you can do or what the people around you can do for you. When we we’re talking about faith and budget, I just realize that it is really a great reminder, a correction, and a blessing too to hear this direct and truthful words especially that money or budgeting is one of the things that a husband and wife talks about. In a nutshell, just simply go to God directly for whatever personal desires, needs, wants.. you do not need to broadcast it in FB, twitter, blog or any social media because God can hear all of those even if you don’t involve social medias because you and I have direct access to God… a very personal access to God and that is PRAYER 🙂 Pray as a couple! PRAYER WORKS! 🙂 Do magnify God’s name in your lifestyle with or without updating your social media 🙂 He knows and sees what you are doing online or offline.. 🙂 your life audience should be God & not your number of ‘likes’ online.  Be secured my dear readers 🙂  So choose to be personal with God and not choose to broadcast just like what Ptr. Juray said .. God directly to God, period 🙂

So there, hope you are encouraged, corrected, blessed, reminded and blessed by this update 🙂 Sharing with you all some photos during our Couples Getaway 🙂

Are You Ignoring God’s Warnings?

Are You Ignoring God’s Warnings?

Are You Avoiding God's Correction? Or Simply Are You Avoiding God?

Are You Avoiding God’s Correction? Or Simply Are You Avoiding God?

Don’t ignore the warnings. God’s not trying to keep you from your dreams; He’s trying to keep you from heartache.

We all have dreams, aspirations and goals. Some desire children, a spouse, a family, a Ph.D, wealth, to become a great speaker, to be an Olympian, an athlete, a doctor, an engineer, a teacher, a musician, an actor or actress. Each person has a gift hidden inside of them that’s constantly tugging, pulling, moving and kicking on the inside ready to birth purpose.

God wants the very best for His children. He gave His very best to die for our sins, Jesus, so why would He want you to have or be with anyone  and anything less than who He is. He says, ” I refuse to allow you to settle, to be mediocre. It’s an insult to my goodness.”

He rewards those who earnestly seek Him;  not for stuff, not for a mate, not for a job but for His heart. ( Now inhale…. exhale … I want you to absorb everything that I said here … breath in .. breath out 🙂 )  So ask yourself this ” Am I seeking after His hand? Am I seeking after something that only He can give me?

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. – Matthew 6:33 ESV

The Bible says too  …   For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

—  Jeremiah 29:11 NIV … Kindly re- read this verse but this time replace the pronoun  “you” with your name. Whenever you feel down, disappointed or helpless return to that verse.

God’s vision supersedes our natural eyes. His thoughts and ways are more supreme than ours. Stop trying to want somebody who don’t want you, or stop being so caught up with the ‘feeling of being in love’  and just feeding your own emotions and desires. That’s not what love is. Love is not a feeling. It’s a decision and a commitment to God and to that person that God chose for you. Stop trying to fix what what’s behind you. God is omniscient. He knows your desire. He knows your needs. Why would you throw a pity party because someone don’t want you? Or someone you like is not the one God wants for you? Are you willing to obey if that’s the case? Or over a job that didn’t hire you, or over a friendship that suddenly ended.

God always gives warnings before destruction and sometimes He allows us to go through our decisions to teach us. Start thanking God for the things that ended, or maybe things that should be ended now, and for what did not work out because He was protecting our ignorant selves. When one door closes, He has another and it may be the right one for you.

Be wiling to listen, obey Him always.

Happy Wednesday Everyone! 🙂
