have courage & step out in faith! :)

Oh hi! 🙂  .. how’s everyone? I hope all is well 🙂 Life has been so amazing, there is still ups & downs ..  we’ll it is part of life.

I’ve encountered so many questions about finding your purpose in life?  and .. oh I get you .. that’s a very hard question to answer! hahaha! 🙂  or  like simple question like this: ” am I beautiful?”  — and my answer to that question is YES! you are definitely beautiful! 🙂

Just like what the bible says: “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.”

Psalm 139:14

“God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created them; God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good.”  ~Genesis 1

We live in a big world filled with a magnificent display of God’s handiwork.  Take a moment to look around and you will find beautiful trees and colorful flowers, a vast ocean, breathtaking mountains, and a kaleidoscope of animals.   And, with almost seven billion people on the planet, each and every one of us is unique. Now please take a moment & absorb that thought first .. YES, YOU ARE UNIQUE !  🙂

  Now that is pretty amazing 🙂

Do you ever wonder why you are on this planet?   Are you supposed to run around aimlessly for a few decades until it’s time to call it quits?  I’d hate to think that our existence is meaningless.  I believe that we all have a purpose.   We’ve been blessed with gifts and talents that make us special.   Ironically, we are the only species on the planet that struggle with being who we are.  You don’t see a lion trying to act like a monkey.  You won’t find a bird pretending to be a fish.  A river isn’t going to be stubborn and force its water upstream.  It conforms to its true nature to go downstream effortlessly.

Then why is it that you’re acting like an accountant when you are truly a painter?  Or you’re a scientist pretending to be a social worker.  What if Oprah had decided to become a nurse instead of following her passion?   Millions of people would have missed out on what she has contributed to the world.   What if Dr. Martin Luther King Jr had self doubt and didn’t think that one man’s voice would make a difference?

When you are not living out your life purpose, success and happiness will elude you.  To illustrate my point,  even if I got paid 1million peso to be a pharmacist for example, I could not spend the rest of my life behind the counter.  I would lose my mind!!  It’s not my calling.  Likewise, I’m sure that there are some things that you would not want to do because it’s not your thing either.

  It’s no wonder we live in a society that is increasingly angry, depressed and anxiousThe problem is that we let the world define success for us.  We think in terms of money, status or titles.   We choose career paths based upon how much it pays or because it made the Top 10 Hottest Careers list.  There is no consideration given to whether we’ll be good at it or if we’ll even like it!  That is insanity and it happens more often than it should.  We spend hundreds of peso buying “Get Rich Quick” books, CD’s, seminars and they never seem to work.  (The person selling you that stuff sure keeps getting richer, don’t they?)   I can tell you why.  It’s because you cannot follow someone else’s blueprint for success.  You have to create your own.   Donald Trump made his millions in real estate.  Tiger Woods is good at golf.    Maybe your grandma can make the best darn apple pie you’ve ever had.  Each person is created with the right set of talents, abilities, and personality to be good at what they do.  So stop worrying about what your neighbor’s got going on.   Do you?

Instead of living with regret, have a little courage and step out on faith.   Show the world what you are really made of.   But remember, it’s not about getting somebody else’s approval, it’s about being true to yourself, and affirming that when God made you, He didn’t make a mistake.   If you say, “but I don’t know what I’m good at or what I want to do,” I’ll say, “that’s a lie.”  Most of us do know but we are afraid to say it out loud.   We automatically create a checklist of all the reasons why we think we can’t and effectively cancel our dreams.  Limitations start with the mind.   And by the way, stop listening to people that tell you that you can’t.  Get a new set of friends if you have to! ( hahaha! just kidding! 😛 ) .  Listen ultimately to God  coz He will  never steer you wrong 🙂
