I Look to You

I choose to look to You when things are not going my way, besides it is not my way that matters but Your way. I don’t know what are the things that are exactly running in Your mind but it will not stop me from trusting Your plans. It is YES, PERFECT, GOOD & PLEASING!

Yes, I cried not only once, twice or thrice but many times in Your presence. I love it when I go all out for You. Surrendering  ALL everyday to You is a commitment I cherish to You Lord.

Father, I pray that you will continue to make me and mold me to the woman You desire me to be.

I am just holding on … holding on … to Your promises and my eyes continually fixed on You JESUS.

Thank you for loving me this much Lord!

Hebrews 10:36-37

36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.37 For,

“In just a little while,
he who is coming will come
    and will not delay.”[a]

“In just a little while,
he who is coming will come
    and will not delay.”[a]

Hebrews 10:23: Let us HOLD UNSWERVINGLY to the HOPE we profess, for HE WHO PROMISED IS FAITHFUL.

Just a word of encouragement today…”Don’t throw it away.” What’s the “it” you may ask? Don’t throw away your CONFIDENCE IN CHRIST. As it says in Hebrews 10:23, it is our confidence in Christ that gives us HOPE. Why? Because He Who has promised us, He Who we have our confidence in, He Who we follow and serve…HE IS FAITHFUL! This confidence has NOTHING to do with US or OUR ability, but has EVERYTHING to do with HIM. As another Scripture says, even when we are faithless, GOD REMAINS FAITHFUL. He will ALWAYS BE Who He said He would be (the Great “I Am”). He will always DO what He said He would do.

If God is so awesome and we know we will be richly rewarded because of our confidence in Him, then why do we have to be admonished to not throw it away? What would tempt us to lose hope, no longer wanting to do the will of God?

The answer I have to this is simply LIFE. Life has a way of throwing curveballs at you. Life has a way of sometimes not turning out how we want it to. Life has a way of handing us some “not-so-nice” things. In the sufferings of life, we are NOT alone. The Bible says that the rain falls on both the just and the unjust. When my rain falls (sometimes seeming like a downpour), I try to put things in perspective. Yes, I face things. Yes, I have to endure things. But also, yes, others face things so much more difficult than I. Look at what it says in Hebrews 10:33-34. These people were laughted at and beaten. They were thrown into jail and had all they owned taken from them. Think of those who were even tortured and killed because of their relationship with Christ. Talk about perspective. Yes, I may be talked about, overlooked criticized, or laughted at. But I certainly have NOT been beaten (except for my well-deserved spankings as a child…smile! 🙂 ) or jailed!

I say all that to say this, in spite of all we face, #1) there are others who are experiencing worse, and #2) we cannot allow these sufferings to turn us back from or cause us to leave/throw away our hope in Christ. In the not-so-good times of life, we must HOLD ON and HOLD FAST. Truly, trouble does NOT last always. During difficult times, we must #3) not let our happy trust in the Lord die away, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS. We must REMEMBER OUR REWARD! (Hebrews 10:35) The GREATEST reward is Christ Himself and the salvation that we have through Him. Being saved gives us ETERNAL LIFE and HEAVENLY REWARDS, but WE ALSO HAVE BENEFITS RIGHT HERE AS WELL. The Bible is FULL of PROMISES that God has made to us that He WILL bring to pass in our lives, on THIS SIDE of heaven. But, to attain these promises, we are called to PERSEVERE. We must be NOT weary in doing well, for in due season, we SHALL reap, IF WE FAINT NOT. (Galatians 6:9) We must WAIT PATIENTLY to receive our promises. (Hebrews 6:15) We must STAND OUR GROUND and after we have done everything, we must CONTINUE TO STAND. (Ephesians 6:13)

So, DON’T THROW IT AWAY. HOLD ON TO YOUR FAITH, HOPE, and CONFIDENCE IN CHRIST. No matter what obstacles you encounter, or what tries to steer you off track, REMAIN FOCUSED and KEEPING PRESSING ONWARDS and UPWARDS towards your HIGH CALLING in Christ Jesus.

Continue to be STEADFAST, UNMOVEABLE, ALWAYS ABOUNDING IN THE WORK OF THE LORD, because your work for the Lord will NOT be in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58) In the end, you will be able to say, “IT WAS WORTH IT ALL 🙂.

Good mornight! :)!

Someday Soon

This is one of my favorite christian songs from Francesca Battistelli 🙂

It’s such a hopeful song .. keeps on singing this again and again :)!

I wanna be the one who knows everything about you
I wanna be the one who’s always on your mind
I wanna be the one to get all of your affection and attention
You’re the one that I’ve been waiting for, for all this time
And I can’t imagine anything, anything better than

Someday falling in love with you
Holding your hand
Making our plans all come true
Someday under a sky so blue
I’ll give you my heart
Our story will start someday soon

I wanna be the one who does everything with you
Watching stars, washing cars, taking walks, going to the store
I wanna be the one who gets to change her last name someday
To something that sounds something more like yours

Yeah I’ll be telling you I love you
On a picture perfect day
And those words inside my head
They sound like angels singing praise
It’s what I was made to say

“Yes, someday soon, I’ll story will start someday soon…”

Our Love story will be His story because He will be the one to direct our path towards each other! His plans for us is definitely beautiful and perfect .. so wherever you are, whoever you are, I am waiting and praying for you!
