The Climb

He said, ’Take now your son . . .’ —Genesis 22:2

God’s command is, “Take now,” not later. It is incredible how we debate! We know something is right, but we try to find excuses for not doing it immediately. If we are to climb to the height God reveals, it can never be done later— it must be done now. And the sacrifice must be worked through our will before we actually perform it.

“So Abraham rose early in the morning . . . and went to the place of which God had told him” (Genesis 22:3). Oh, the wonderful simplicity of Abraham! When God spoke, he did not “confer with flesh and blood” (Galatians 1:16). Beware when you want to “confer with flesh and blood” or even your own thoughts, insights, or understandings— anything that is not based on your personal relationship with God. These are all things that compete with and hinder obedience to God.

Abraham did not choose what the sacrifice would be. Always guard against self-chosen service for God. Self-sacrifice may be a disease that impairs your service. If God has made your cup sweet, drink it with grace; or even if He has made it bitter, drink it in communion with Him. If the providential will of God means a hard and difficult time for you, go through it. But never decide the place of your own martyrdom, as if to say, “I will only go to there, but no farther.” God chose the test for Abraham, and Abraham neither delayed nor protested, but steadily obeyed. If you are not living in touch with God, it is easy to blame Him or pass judgment on Him. You must go through the trial before you have any right to pronounce a verdict, because by going through the trial you learn to know God better. God is working in us to reach His highest goals until His purpose and our purpose become one.

My moments with J & J (Jane & Joy)

I was so all over the place yesterday because we’ll I was going up to the 4th floor and then going down to the lower ground again! I was looking for KC people so that they can give their birthday message for Ms Weena! 😀 So there Ms Weeena, SURRISE! 😀

Matapos ng surprise kay Ms Weena..

aba nagkita kame ni Jane! 🙂 Una sa may Youth hall sa may KC, we hugged each other then she said to me: ‘Lourdy. kamusta kana? while she looks straight into my eyes while naka smile’ .. then I said to Jane: ” Ah .I’m good, Jane ..sabay I hugged her back then I said .. ” teka lang ah may ginagawa kasi ako ..wait, babalikan kita..”

then Jane saw me again sa hallway sa may Youth Hall, then Jane said: ‘Lourdy .. tara usap tayo”  then I said to Jane .. ” sure sure .. sige .. ”

then finally! .. napirmi narin ako sa upuan sa caf then taraaan si Jane ay andun!

Then our conversation goes … napakaraming napag usapan … updates updates on how God works in our lives. Medyo matagal tagal na kame last na nakapag usap ni Jane so sobrang catch up ito .. (nag uusap sila ni tita Janet & Jane before ako dumating sa table nila)   then biglang dumating si Joy .. now Lord.. nakakatawa, ngayon ko lang na realize na puro ‘J’ ang starting letter ng names nila! LOL :)) cool! 🙂  Pero anyway so ayan nag usap na nga kame .. sobrang na bless talaga ako kahapon sa conversation natin and obviously I can’t get over! feeling ko nasa heaven parin ako ngayon eh! hahaha! Grabe lang si Lord .. *speechless!

Basta thank you Lord for giving me these two amazing woman Jane & Joy!  I am blessed by our friendship :’)Image

Sabi nga ni Jane sa caption ng photo nya na to: There are no accidents nor coincidence with God. Glad to have spent a little time with you two 🙂 — with Joy Simpson and Lourdy Grace Mamhot. (  and Yes Jane, indeed, I agree!  God has orchestrated everything!)

Now I know why God always make our paths cross ng makailang beses kahapon kasi may sobrang napaka halagang pag uusap pala tayo! Si Lord talaga .. nakaka iyak lang talaga ..  THANK YOU!!! :’)

” For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.  – Jeremiah 29:11

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. – Galatians 6:9

Let’s continue to fix our eyes on Jesus always & forever 🙂

Don’t delay, choose to OBEY

Looking back over my life, I remember instances when I didn’t respond quickly enough to promptings. I regret these personal failings. By failing to respond immediately, I failed friends that needed me, resulting in suffering and pain that could have been avoided completely.Don’t ever delay promptings that you receive. We will never know the full impact of our obedience or procrastination of these promptings in this life. I believe that many life-changing events happen or fail to happen because we miss simple opportunities that the Lord sends our way. Remember, the Lord doesn’t prompt us on things that are not important. If we are being prompted to do something, no matter how trivial or foolish it may seem, there is a very real reason for it. Don’t delay…just do it.

“If you wait until the wind and the weather are just right, you will never plant anything and never harvest anything”. – Ecclesiastes 11:4Image

A lot of surprises along the way from our Father in Heaven

I don’t know exactly what will happen BUT GOD knows it so i choose to TRUST Him all the more each day! 😀  It is very exciting to experience His faithfulness and love everyday .. sabi nga diba , His mercies are new every morning! God’s grace ..  God’s grace 🙂
