Never let the sense of past failure defeat your next step.

In the Garden of Gethsemane, the disciples went to sleep when they should have stayed awake, and once they realized what they had done it produced despair. The sense of having done something irreversible tends to make us despair. We say, “Well, it’s all over and ruined now; what’s the point in trying anymore.” If we think this kind of despair is an exception, we are mistaken. It is a very ordinary human experience. Whenever we realize we have not taken advantage of a magnificent opportunity, we are apt to sink into despair. But Jesus comes and lovingly says to us, in essence, “Sleep on now. That opportunity is lost forever and you can’t change that. But get up, and let’s go on to the next thing.” In other words, let the past sleep, but let it sleep in the sweet embrace of Christ, and let us go on into the invincible future with Him.

There will be experiences like this in each of our lives. We will have times of despair caused by real events in our lives, and we will be unable to lift ourselves out of them. The disciples, in this instance, had done a downright unthinkable thing— they had gone to sleep instead of watching with Jesus. But our Lord came to them taking the spiritual initiative against their despair and said, in effect, “Get up, and do the next thing.” If we are inspired by God, what is the next thing? It is to trust Him absolutely and to pray on the basis of His redemption.

Never let the sense of past failure defeat your next step.

“And so train the young women to love their husbands and children,”

Titus 2:4 ESV

“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:”

Proverbs 31:28 ESV

Proverbs 31:10-12, 25-30: “An excellent wife, who can find? For her worth is far above jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life … Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future. She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and bless her; her husband also, and he praises her, saying: ‘Many daughters have done nobly, but you excel them all.’ Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.”

John 16:21: “Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world.” 🙂

Date a girl who travels

Date a girl who travels

Suddenly saw this blog entry and then when I opened and started to read it …

It’s very touching. true and direct to the point. Beautifully written 😉

and it says: “IS A GIRL WHO TRAVELS WORTH IT? YES, SHE IS. SO WHEN YOU FIND HER, KEEP HER. Don’t lose her with your insecurities and doubts. because when she says she loves you, she really does. after all, she ‘s seen so many things, met so many people, and if she had chosen you, better grab the opportunity and thank the gods that you we’re lucky enough she’s chosen you .. Date a girl who travels. make her feel safe, warm and secure.

Reading the book of Joshua. I am very encouraged and excited every time I read this book. One of my favorite verses from this book is  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified;do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

It never fails to put hope in my heart.

It’s His very word that I always hold onto. I cry always to God … He knows where I am at … in His presence I can always pour out everything to Him.

Reading the book of Joshua is truly refreshing!  Thank you Lord for Your Word that is the fuel of my faith in You ..

Be like Joshua, have that courage and boldness because He has already prepared it for you …  you just have ti respond and act on it.

Be Brave.. Be Bold … and Pray…

Another answered prayer! Simple as it may seem but it really made an impact to me! I was able to go to Victory Greenhills! 🙂 That’s my prayer! It has been a long time desire to be able to go there and visit it then woaaala it all came true yesterday because I have to meet up with some of my dearest friends there and most importantly to meet up with my dearest Yeng ❤

I am looking forward to more surprises that God has promised to me .. I will continue to wait and fix my eyes on You Jesus! :’)

I was also praying to meet ptr. Dennis Sy!  praying! :)) yesterday , BUT BUT  I was not able to see him .. maybe next time 😉 Then my dear Yeng said: ‘ nako ate Lourdy, kailangan mo nga ma meet si Ptr Dennis! ‘ then I said, gusto ko nga eh! :’) in time, in time! :’) will continue to pray for that encounter with Ptr Dennis! 😉

“‘Have faith in God,’ Jesus answered. ‘I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, “Go, throw yourself into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins'” (Mark 11:22-25)

Our Father gives good gifts, we bring our requests, however silly or superficial or unimportant they seem to us. We have to learn the bravery of children in prayer, trusting God to do all that we ask and more. Prayer, afterall, has divided seas, caused rain to come and go for years, defeated mighty armies, brought back the dead, opened the eyes of the blind, and on the list goes. Are we brave enough to pray that way?
